vmt driver

Hi,

Can anybody enlighten me regards the vmt driver? I have a few VMs
running under VMWare Workstation (17.5.1 at present) and Player. My
console is spammed by continuous messages, repeating

[ 70.197688] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option toolScripts.afterPowerOn 1"
[ 70.197688] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option toolScripts.beforePowerOff 1"
[ 70.197688] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option toolScripts.afterResume 1"
[ 70.210302] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option toolScripts.beforeSuspend 1"
[ 70.210302] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.tools.slewCorrection 1"
[ 70.219876] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.tools.percentCorrection 0"
[ 70.219876] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option mapRootHgfsShare 0"
[ 70.219876] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option linkRootHgfsShare 0"
[ 70.228936] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option enableMessageBusTunnel 0"
[ 70.228936] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option enableAppInfo 1"
[ 70.228936] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option enableDeviceHelper disabled"
[ 71.237928] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option synctime 0"
[ 71.237928] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option copypaste 1"
[ 71.237928] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option autohide 0"
[ 71.237928] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option enableDnD 1"
[ 71.249744] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option synctime.period 0"
[ 71.249744] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.tools.enable 1"
[ 71.249744] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.guest.resync 0"
[ 71.260250] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.guest.resync.timeout 0"
[ 71.260250] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.tools.startup.backward 0"
[ 71.268356] vmt0: unknown command: "Set_Option
time.synchronize.tools.startup 1"

which makes the console unusable. I guess I can disable vmt, these
will disappear, but I don't know what the consequences of this would
be. The guest is running -current from week ago and fully updated
pkgsrc, including the latest open-vm-tools installed and configures
according to the message from the package.

Otherwise, the machine works reasonably well. The mouse speed is
somewhat slower than usual when using the touchpad of my ThinkPad, the
red pug works better (this is probably due to the 2560x1600 resolution
of the host).

I checked the site pointed out in
https://nxr.netbsd.org/xref/src/sys/arch/x86/x86/vmt.c as the source
of the driver, but it doesn't exist.
