I got a Geforce GTX 1050 Ti and it works fine.

However, the X server doesn't go higher than 1920x1080. I tried
playing around with xrandr but that didn't change anything.

I see a line

  resize called 1920 1080

in the X.org log file. Where does that come from?

mpv seems to use a higher resolution anyway:

VO: [gpu] 3840x2160 yuv420p

Any suggestions how I can force the xserver in 3840x2160 mode?

Thanks,
 Thomas
