amd64 live CD resizing way too slow to startup and then reboots

I booted today's latest/images/NetBSD-9.99.75-amd64-live.img.gz
(boot loader had Nov 12 date though).

It booted the kernel and then started booting the system:

...

Growing sd0 disklabel (1907MB -> 61104MB)
Resizing / (/dev/sd0a)
/dev/rsd0a: grow cg |**** .... | 67%

/dev/rsd0a: flush cg |**** .... | 14%

/dev/rsd0a: write sb |*** ... | 13%

those each took five to ten minutes to get to 100%.

Then I didn't see what happened, but it rebooted and booted from
my hard disk.

Why is this live cd so slow to boot? It basically defeats the purpose
to experiment with it.

(My goal was to see if two wifi network interfaces work.)
