Like it or not its probably going to be a long term requirement to have console USB support. If not for the serial output its becoming more and more necessary just to get a console keyboard for DDB.

I don't think its possible to by an amd64 motherboard (at least in the consumer space) that actually has a PS2 port for a keyboard any more.
