My WiFi link (iwm) is also visibly slower than usual. The panic
happened while I was running 'pkgin upgrade' over an NFS mount through
the iwm adapter.

On the same system - after the reboot - I was able to start kde and
xfce4, but got twice identical freezes when running thunderbird, while
getting mail. I couldn't break into the debugger.

This hardware has been running NetBSD-current (among others) for about
four years now without major problems otherwise (HP Envy 17 from
2016).
