dhcpcd hiccups in -current
With the recent update of dhcpcd with privsep and chroot, I observed a
couple of hiccups in the update process ('etcupdate').
Although "/etc/master.passwd" is updated to add the "_dhcpcd" user, the
insecure "/etc/passwd" is not regenerated to reflect this addition. Thus,
later 'postinstall ... fix dhcpcd' prompts 'file -user ...' to complain
about "_dhcpcd: no such user".
This is also seen on subsequent boot when configuring network interfaces.
The complaint of "No such user _dhcpcd" is displayed.
Regenerating "/etc/passwd" (and "{,s}pwd.db"?) by running 'vipw' and simply
exiting with ":wq" (or 'pwd_mkdb'?) resolves this issue.
The following is also seen when bringing up an interface:
Configuring network interfaces: <if>dhcpcd_fork_cb: truncated read 0 (expected 4)
.
This is on NetBSD/sparc-9.99.56 from soures of 202004190030Z.
