I now have a ramdisk-zfsroot configured!
With just the kernel and modules on the partition I can put this in boot.cfg

menu=Load ZFS Root;load solaris;load zfs;fs /ramdisk-zfsroot.fs;boot

Sadly though zpool cannot find my pool :(

I suspect this is because the bootdevice is now the ramdisk md0 rather thanwd0a. Is there any way of educating the zfs module about this?
