backporting USER_LDT to NetBSD-8

I've been playing with wine64 under NetBSD 8.1_STABLE and it works 
surprisingly well with a couple of windows applications I need to run. Of 
course NetBSD-8 doesn't have support for USER_LDT baked in and so I have been 
testing under a NetBSD current kernel. 

How much work would be involved in back-porting it to NetBSD-8?

I know NetBSD-9 might be a better option, but in my experience kde doesn't 
work well with it :-(
