"Montonic clock has gone backwards" on amd64 current (GENERIC) running as VBox guest

I know that this has been reported before
and I know about Maya's PR for Xen (52664), but I still see it. Here
are the outputs of the sysctl settings as requested by Christos in the
aforementioned thread :

1. sysctl -a | grep -w tick
kern.clockrate: tick = 10000, tickadj = 40, hz = 100, profhz = 100, stathz = 100
2. sysctl -a | grep -w timecounter
kern.timecounter.choice = TSC(q=3000, f=2712243850 Hz)
clockinterrupt(q=0, f=100 Hz) ACPI-Safe(q=900, f=3579545 Hz)
lapic(q=-100, f=1000484707 Hz) i8254(q=100, f=1193182 Hz)
dummy(q=-1000000, f=1000000 Hz)
kern.timecounter.hardware = TSC
kern.timecounter.timestepwarnings = 0
