firefox dumps core

After a general src & pkgsrc update on amd64 yesterday, firefox now tells
me:

_res is not supported for multi-threaded programs.

src files which were updated include

P lib/libpthread/pthread.c
P lib/libpthread/pthread.h
P lib/libpthread/pthread_cond.c
P lib/libpthread/pthread_condattr.3
P lib/libpthread/pthread_int.h
