ntpd on 6.0_BETA2

I have an ntp server that does broadcast ntp to a few subnets 
including the subnet that the server is on.

A few days ago the machine was updated to 6.0_BETA2.  Since then the 
broadcasts to the local subnet don't happen, but the directed 
broadcasts to the other subnets do.

Debugging output from ntpd suggests that all the broadcast lines from 
the config file (which hasn't changed) are being processed but tcpdump 
shows no local broadcasts being sent out.

Any suggestions?
