If you don't have a hardware coprocessor, it probably doesn't matter
much, or native is faster.  If you do have coprocessor, it is perhaps
faster, depending on the relative cost of the syscall vs the hardware
speedup.

What are you trying to do?
With what kind of hardware coprocessor?
