Rescan for ahcisata ?

What would it take to implement DRVRESCANBUS for ahcisata?  Seems to me 
it would be quite useful to attach and detach external drives at will.

(In my case, it's just plain SATA - not E-SATA.  The case has an 
external "docking" slot complete with standard SATA power connector.)
