Being the genius that I am, I thought there was something wrong with my
pkgsrc and deleted most of it before realizing that my problems are
probably related to gcc-4.5.3. I'm unaware of any workarounds.

I've rebuild all my packages under NetBSD/i386 with GCC 4.5.3 before
the newer compiler was the default. Among the package that I was
able to build successfully were "lang/per5l" and "shells/tcsh".

Data point: the touch/utimes issue cropped-up recently too, which caused
me a bit of grief... related to your problems?

Are you sure that your problems are GCC related?

Ah. Maybe this is it. I just asked on irc and other people told me it
was gcc that did it.
