In this case, it was a kernel crash, not a test program crash. While a
crash dump would normally leave a core file for later debugging, the
test beds are running under qemu. I've not been able to coax gdb to
create a core file from qemu. In fact, even setting the sysctl
ddb.commandonenter doesn't work under qemu (at least not on amd64)...
