Problems booting build 201011090000Z

Hi,

I notice that it's impossible to boot the 201011090000Z build of i386cd/amd64cd 
on our Dell 2950s
I've tried with all variations of boot netbsd [-12]

amd64 only spits out the first line, then it freezes.
i386 loads as normal to the lines of:

boot device: <unknown>
root device:

and pauses for some time... it then continues to:

mfi0: normal state on 'mfi0:...

and stops there.

Anybody else that has noticed this. 
Is there any suggested build(s) that should work better?
