Strange behavior on new machine (ioapic, nfs)

I've got a new machine, and it seems to have some "issues" with -current (5.99.30 from last week). Complete dmesg is attached.

The first problem is with the two wm(4) i82576 1Gig LAN ports. They appear to be configured properly, and ifconfig seems to detect the media state correctly, yet no outgoing packets ever hit the wire, and incoming packets aren't seen, either (as indicated by tcpdump on both source and destination machines). Looking at the dmesg, it appears that ioapic2 is misconfigured by the BIOS (wrong apic id) and reprogramming it fails; even more strange, it seems that reading from this apic returns version 0xff and pin-count 0xff. It just happens that the wm(4) interfaces are interrupting through ioapic2, so I'm wondering if the misconfiguration could be the source of the problem and if there's anything to be done?

Problem #2 is an issue with nfs (client). Because of #1, I have added a USB-based network interface for temporary connectivity. I can ping across this interface to my nfs server without any problems (including large, 2k+ byte pings), and I can mount the remote file systems. I can even do a ``df'' to see the mounted file systems. But as soon as I try to access a file on the remote fs, all access to that fs, including a new ``df'', hang in tstile. Even while the fs is hung, I can still ping between the nfs client and server.

There are other issues with this machine, too, but these two are the most pressing. If anyone has any ideas on how to proceed, please let me know.
