Okay. On that, I switched over to the gcc-4.2 (4.2.1) on the machine. I got the same basic failure:

--- bcopy.ln ---
/var/tmp/NetBSD/data/NetBSD/src-current/destdir.macppc/usr/include/ powerpc/ansi.h(71): warning: integral constant too large [56] /data/NetBSD/src-current/lib/libc/../../common/lib/libc/string/ bcopy.c(118): warning: conversion of 'int' to 'unsigned int' is out of range [119]

Perhaps it's a more complicated/consistent issue than first feared?

Any other suggestions? There is also an old gcc-3.3 installation on the machine. Not sure if all components are there, but they likely are. Worth a try?
