Yes, the messages are cosmetic. They're caused by an attempt to monitor the charge sensor for the batteries. Since the batteries aren't present there is no max_value or limits for us to monitor. This will be cleaned up in the near future.

Is this a laptop with a 2nd unoccupied battery slot?
Hm, not a real 2nd slot, but you can put a battery in the slot
occupied normally by cdrom or 2nd disk.
As you can see from envstat I use this beast w/o battery.
