Have you installed a new boot loader, using installboot(8)?  New
boot loaders are supposed to know how to load a relevant file-sysetm
module (e.g.  ffs.kmod) in such a way that the kernel can use it
during the boot.  See the 20081122 entry in src/UPDATING.
