I too am having crashes on suspend/resume but on i386 on a fujitsu
laptop when I have seen the crash message it is usually something
unallocated which is normally an indicator of a corrupt file system but the
machine was running fun up until the suspend. I have noticed that the
crashes are less likely to happen if I switch to a text virtual
console before suspending. For me the automatic fsck has no problems
fixing the file systems, all my filesystems are ffs (one on cgd, one
just on a standard disk)
