Hello,

OK, I managed to resurrect one of my machines from the string-
function update issue from earlier today. Now I've got a problem
with X...
My display shows up on pci2 dev 0 func 0:
bolt:paul {113} dmesg | grep vga
vga0 at pci2 dev 0 function 0: vendor 0x1002 product 0x954f (rev.
0x00)
wsdisplay0 at vga0 kbdmux 1: console (80x25, vt100 emulation)
drm at vga0 not configured
And my /etc/X11/xorg.conf hasn't changed:
Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI HD 4350"
Driver "radeon"
BusID "PCI:2:0:0"
VideoRam 524288
# Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection
But X can't access the display:
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 02@02:00:0
(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error:
no screens found
That's the Xserver's stupidity. Change
BusID "PCI:2:0:0"
to use "PCI 02@02:00:0"
have fun
Michael
