5.0_RC3 messed up RTL8111DL onboard NIC

(I hope current-users fits the bill here.)

Booting the amd64 installation CD from
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-5/200904070000Z/iso/amd64cd.iso
on an ASRock X58 SuperComputer (Core i7 920) with dual Realtek RTL8111DL
onboard NICs
and trying to auto-configure re0 using DHCP via the installer menu resulted in
(at the
very least) botched MAC addresses. (Though it worked as far as obtaining an IP
address.)

ifconfig shows (copied one cold-start later):

re0: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500

capabilities=3f80<TSO4,IP4CSUM_Rx,IP4CSUM_Tx,TCP4CSUM_Rx,TCP4CSUM_Tx,UDP4CSUM_Rx,UDP4CSUM_Tx>
        enabled=0
        address: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
        media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX full-duplex)
        status: active
re1: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500

capabilities=3f80<TSO4,IP4CSUM_Rx,IP4CSUM_Tx,TCP4CSUM_Rx,TCP4CSUM_Tx,UDP4CSUM_Rx,UDP4CSUM_Tx>
        enabled=0
        address: 39:a0:60:ad:52:15
        media: Ethernet autoselect (none)
        status: no carrier

(Notice that re1's MAC isn't real either and that re0 is connected to a GigE
switch.)

This has happened before but I wasn't sure that it was NetBSD's fault then and
I was able
revive the NIC by reentering the MAC address in the Windows driver's extended
properties.

This time I am sure to blame NetBSD and though I managed to revive the NIC
again, the
situation seemed worse than before with Windows initally saying it's unable to
start the
device.

I am willing to provide further information but please understand that I'm not
too keen
on playing Russian roulette with this not-too-cheap system.

Full dmesg (minus some USB devices) below.

Tom
