appears to be latest available.

It didn't boot. I tried two different CDs and no boot loader.

So I downloaded the month older netbsd-5-0-RC2 version and it booted fine.

The hardware is Toshiba L350-S1701. Later when I get the laptop on a 
network, I can provide a dmesg.
