ATAPI is supported on: (AFAIK) all pciide(4)-based controllers
(PATA or SATA), ahcisata(4), and siisata(4).

There are occasional hardware/hardware compatibility issues with
some older SATA controllers and SATA optical drives.  Your
hardware looks new enough though.
