Ha!
Now that's a good hint. It boots successfully for me and seems working
with boot -c and disable acpi (nothing else). Here's some dmesg info
from booting into 4.99.52 (for comparison) and 4.99.60 with acpi
disabled. I suppose given the cbb messages cardbus/pcmcia(?) stuff
would not work without acpi?
And now for the first time I'm seeing these similar error messages
from 4.66.52 as does .60 emit. Hrm... I've left them in the highlight.
