(I'm really surprised this to see land so late, vs the 6/1 normal
cutoff.  We really need to think about and deal with big updates
starting in month 2 (5), IMHO.  Maybe rust is not so troubled now.)

rust-bin is still at 1.85.1, as I see it.  We always keep that in sync.
Is that about to be updated?
