True. My machinery detects if a package changes names when specifying
pythons. If it doesn't, it builds it only once with the default. I
guess policy for binary packages is that they are built with defaults
for any option.

OK. I'm not sure if it will be useful … but anyway, before adding
science/alps, I need to figure out how to force it to use our installed
boost_pythonXY. Probably needs rewrite of those portions of the cmake
stuff.

Yeah, around 3.8, there was something. And then, 3.12 or 3.13 was also
problematic again. Not every version is difficult, but they keep
introducing breaking changes. Maybe suddenly it will be API/ABI stable
from 3.13 on?
