Yes. I have a piece of critical infrastructure which uses a non-pentium
CPU:

cpu0 at mainbus0
cpu0: Use cpuid to serialize rdtsc
cpu0: AMD 486-class, id 0x494
cpu0: node 0, package 0, core 0, smt 0
cpu0: searching errata for cpu revision 0x00000000

There's only a tiny subset of packages on it:

libffi-3.4.6
libltdl-2.4.7
libuuid-2.32.1nb2
miniupnpd-2.1
python312-3.12.8nb1
readline-8.2nb2
spamd-20060330nb2
sqlite3-3.47.2
sudo-1.9.16nb1
ups-nut-2.8.2

(I haven't yet updated to pkgsrc-2025Q1 as my nominal build host is
currently unavailable.)

I also have at least one system that has a pentium-III CPU. There's at
least one other 486-class machine around, but I currently lack space to
get it out and set it up.
