Sure, but we really aren't talking about what the big-picture default
should be. We are talking about a layered complicated world where
pkgsrc has a mechanism -- MAKE_JOBS -- to set the cpu parallelism at a
high level, and things that don't respect that. Usually because
individual tools think that they are overly important and that of
course the human is running them and nothing else.
