make mdi: shell limit exceeded

Hi!

I've just tried to update grafana, but:

# make mdi
=> Bootstrap dependency digest>=20211023: found digest-20220214
make: exec(/bin/sh) failed (Argument list too long)
*** Error code 1

Does anyone have a patch to fix that? :)
