The qrupdate code is rather ancient Fortran 77 that has been fixed up
for modern picky compilers now. It is both rather small and unlikely to
fail, compared to octave itself, anway.

Well, it's already there. One might make it optional, though, for
headless server use (gnuplot dep could stay, as it in turn can be built
without GUI libs). I am not going on that endeavour right now … might
be a worthy cause if I absolutely want to avoid Qt on an HPC install.
An argument against might be that I am not sure how well supported a
non-Qt build is.

Anyhow … I am going to proceed then, with the proposed update, unless
someone stops me in the next 10 hours or so.

Alrighty then,

Thomas
