I am not using it myself, but I think it's really unfortunate that a
core pkgsrc tool is written in a non-portable language.  I think it's
perfectly fair to add to the DESCR a caution about it being old, but I
don't see that it is a net positive to remove it.

It would be nice to fix go's portability problems, but obviously that's
difficult.
