Thanks for explaining; that makes sense.  I generally prefer to have an
upstream bug filed before adding non-trivial non-obviously-correct
patches/workarounds to pkgsrc, as we end up with a lot of things that
should be fixed upstream and aren't.  (I realize that's impossible to
succeed at...)
