It seems the recent update of graphics/jpeg caused the shlib major version number to change from 62 to 7. The update log message doesn't mention an ABI change, and the README says: v7 is basically just a necessary interim release, paving the way for a major breakthrough in image coding technology with the next v8 package which is scheduled for release in the year 2010. Do you know why the shlib version changed? It sort of looks like the basic problem of people not understanding shlib numbering and thinking the version number belongs there, but I didn't quite find in the sources where it is set. The README is entirely lacking in discussing ABI change issues.
