So when on an i386 one builds pkgsrc/sysutils/xenkernelXY, one gets an
"i386 hypervisor", which is a xen.gz which runs in i386 mode?

And you are saying that if the xen.gz from an amd64 package is installed
on a i386 dom0, that might/should work, both to run, and to allow amd64
domUs?
