Hi folks, does anyone know if Hans Rosenfeld's CMD SCSI host adapter fixes
will be in '11?

Yes, they are. Also in -10. :)

I can confirm that 11.0_RC2 boots on my 4000/500A with CMD SCSI controller.

That sounds great, thank you George! And thanks to Hans for nailing this
longstanding problem.

So just in the vein of wanting everything to be perfect (and we are so
close!), has anyone had any thoughts about the CMD TMSCP controller hang
problem? I wonder if it's related; it's reasonable to assume that CMD
didn't reinvent the wheel when designing their Qbus interfaces.

Does it still hang on -11?

If so, can you perhaps point me to a bug entry or a mailing list post
that describes the problem in more detail?

I've not yet been able to test -11. I hope to make time to do so within the next couple of days.

But wow, I was half asleep when I posted that message. It's not a CMD controller, it's an Emulex QT13! :-/ So obviously forget what I said about CMD using the same bus interface! Sorry about that.

The problem is a simple one: Any attempt to access the tape drive just hangs, with no tape motion and no output. The tape subsystem works fine under VMS. This is on a -705A. I posted briefly about this problem on 11/28/2023.
