Re: looking for hardware

Hi Dave,

what organizations are there in the US about keeping old hardware alive? In France we have a few associations made of individual collectors but nothing more for now unfortunately. I myself own a few DEC and SUNs but nothing older than a VAX station. I would love to see and play with PDP-11 boxen. Do you have some? It's not like I am planning to travel in East USA in the near feature anyway, but who knows. And it's also good to make contacts in this small hardware preservation community. It is small in France and Europe, at least. I am not sure how it is in the US.

Hey folks. A bit OT for this list, but this is as good a place as any. ;)

  I'm looking for some larger-than-4MB SIMMs for a VAXstation 4000-90, a
VR-290 monitor, a working RA-60 drive...or any other SDI-interfaced
drives, preferably somewhere near the Pittsburgh, PA area.

And, actually, I'm interested in any vintage DEC hardware that's
looking for a new home. I have a lot of space here, 3-phase power, and
I'm building what will eventually be a public museum. Bring it on. B-)
