I think I have never played with disktab(5) in NetBSD. I allways lay
out partitions with disklabel(8) -i. When installing I use the menues
provided by sysinst(8) to set partition sizes.

I think disktab(5) is a historical artifact from the ancient 4BSD days
and should be removed.

vax is the only port which still has anything other than
a 3.5" floppy in disktab. All other ports keep everything
        else in /usr/share/examples/disktab/disktab

        They have:

# $NetBSD: disktab,v 1.2 2003/01/25 18:28:44 jmmv Exp $
#
# See disktab(5) for format of this file, and /usr/share/examples/disktab/
# for other examples.
#

        :ty=floppy:se#512:nt#2:rm#300:ns#18:nc#80:\
        :pa#2880:oa#0:ba#4096:fa#512:ta=4.2BSD:\
        :pb#2880:ob#0:\
        :pc#2880:oc#0:

Would anyone object to the entries in vax's disktab being moved
to /usr/share/examples/disktab/disktab? Or should some of them
        be kept in /etc/disktab?
