Yes, this is a VAX specific thing.

A pretty common 9 gig Seagate. This started happening a LONG time ago:

It's just that my VAX has been non-local, so I've not played with it (left
it with two 4 gig slices on the 9 gig). Now that I have a second,
physically local VAX, I've tried this again.

Ideas? Suggestions?
