Re: recent persistent boot failures

Although Jochen's advice about updating ofwboot helped me into getting
better error messages at least sometimes, Martin's suggestion about my
boot partition being too large was also relevant.

In my last attempt I removed /netbsd, copied a newly built kernel to
/netbsd and the same kernel on top of an existing /netbsd.130. From
here I cannot boot /netbsd ("cannot load kernel" or something like
that) but booting netbsd.130 worked all the way to a complete boot.

Actually I have for quite some time known that mv'ing a newly built
kernel with a high inode number never worked, but that cp'ing the
kernel to /netbsd typically worked. The disk in question is a 16GB
disk with a swap and a single data partition.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I should probably try to repartition the disk and do a fresh install
from cd-rom.
