I'm pretty sure this isn't sparc64 specific (though there sure are some bugs to be found, still).

Speaking of which - I still see occasional SIRs on my U60, build.sh - j4 distribution or building something big with loads of dependencies from pkgsrc triggers it sooner or later, I suspect it's got something to do with several processes doing disk and network IO more or less at the same time. It's easier to trigger with KDE, pidgin and so on running. Still not frequent though, build.sh -j4 distribution actually finishes most of the time when X is not running and I have yet to see a kernel build trigger it at all. I did not see any SIRs at all on the U1 but I didn't really torture it lately.
