FWIW,

installing a new bootblk helps indeed and this U60 here is booting 
off the raid1 - the (error) message however stays:

ok boot disk
Boot device: /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/disk@0,0  File and args:
NetBSD IEEE 1275 Bootblock
.Inode not directory
> > NetBSD/sparc64 OpenFirmware Boot, Revision 1.9
[...]

Should we open a PR to track this?
