My kernel is considerably smaller than GENERIC though. Ok, I finally got around to check - it seems to be exactly what you describe. I added uhci and usb at uhci to my kernel and apparently that triggered the problem. A kernel with only uhci or only ohci is just below 4MB. A kernel with both is well over 4MB ( actually almost 5MB, I had no idea that the USB controller drivers are so monstrous ) Anyway, kernels with only uhci or ohci boot just fine, kernels with both or with just one of them and LOCKDEBUG crash on startup.
So, looks like a bug in the loader. have fun Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (Darwin) iQEVAwUBSGFbVcpnzkX8Yg2nAQIiXQf+PEglsbi4PMSAGQUoHjKNgdEK11cLFf3H XsyObsQuqWAke46CeBNKFZ5CO6QOwPo5+lHfTnY19ArOH2XTIvvUdQAIVww7anFz oMVhFHeh3uORqNI9sthFDR1NvbXInjSP0p9VPvGEAmYSI6mM/8xWLh5yZG+z3Zy+ tHXEet0K4WQ/0/bc58oFxr7w3m5K6qmp+R4HWPpwsp9eGZauYWGV0ybtE31M7Z4L enLHpLsCV/uAgf3AGeFjLwa/56zwkAUvjWwPMHITwHfq1Zjr4qULIs09r58EUz2k wDknSR29aLRR77IXCS16HtTqtbbHBLRstEyfac8Q9IFR1d52n0vBmw== =+szq -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
