I have built cmake in 2025QX several times. I also give my qemu 1536 of ram. It is not a pretty process but it does work. I believe I did a “make configure”, reboot, and then “make install”. The memory certainly gets “jammed up”. I might have even had to hard stop the VM and pick up where it left off before :(

I think this one (3.31.7nb2) is what my pkgsrc tree want.
How big it is? You can upload it to some filesharing website, Google disk, or try to attach it to mail, and send this to me (25 mb max but in inflated state). I'll try to use that and up it up on yandex disk folder, if you are ok with that.
(currently building some benchmarks, they tend to be simple).
