re: installing NetBSD on a Sparcstation 2.



hmmm.  i think there's a chance this might work if you do this:

        - write the disk1 / boot floppy like normal

        - write the disk2 / instfs floppy to floppy2 as much as will fit

        - put the data beyond 1440k onto a 3rd floppy2 (eg, something
          like "dd bs=1440k skip=1".)

        - follow the normal process, and when it gets to the 2nd floppy
          read being done, tar (pax) should drop to a prompt asking for
          more media.  this prompt starts something like:

ATTENTION! $file archive volume change required.

        - at this point, put the new floppy3 in the drive and pass the
          path to the floppy (/dev/fd0a)

i'm curious if this works.


could someone file a PR about this?
