Because the key to it is, those who have the hardware/knowledge, are going to
implement the drivers that interest them the most.

Part of it may be.. that someone who knows how to write one of these drivers,
doesn't have said hardware, so building support for it isn't going to be on his
priority list.  It's just a reality of volunteer work.
