GCC removing support for PPC 601

How will NetBSD handle premature removal of backends?  Is there any
plan to upgrade the current GCC compiler, or will NetBSD attempt to
move to PCC or LLVM for kernel compilation?

This will drop support for PPC601, RSC, POWER1 and POWER2 (the last 3
used by rs6000 port).
