Anyone working on the 64-bit Power or PowerPC 970 processor family, as
used in the Mac G5 and IBM JS20 blade server?
I see that the http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/models.html says the
PowerPC 970 and G5 are unsupported. And I don't find any reference to JS20
with NetBSD.
What needs to be done? Who can do it?
(I saw a IBM PowerPC 970FX fact sheet webpage that says Wasabi Systems is
a IBM Business Partners and is supporting the Power architecture and IBM
PowerPC 970FX processor.)
A member of my local BSD user group is interested in helping start a
fund-raiser to help get this hardware supported.
I've been working on this on and off as I have time. Most of this has
been in the pmap support the 64bit PTEs
