But at least 10.0 Generic.MP have it enabled by default, it seems.
Tested on qemu 9.2.90 910.0-rc0) with experimental patches. No big
luck with 2-way smp but sound works ..especially if I set
mpg123/mplayer to 11Khz :)
So may be this bit of info should be corrected?
Yes, awacs(4) was enabled in GENERIC back in 2018, but the note in the
installation documentation was never removed.

I've removed it from the file in -current now. I'll request pullups to
stable branches as well.
